View our guide to
responsible foraging

Foraging is a great way to spend time in nature, learn about the landscape around you and find free and healthy wild food to enhance your wellbeing. This guide will help to ensure your foraging is responsible and as unobtrusive as possible.

Events range from coastal foraging to herbal wellness; and from wild food treks to topical talks.  It’s an ideal opportunity to discover the delicious and useful species on your doorstep, engage with nature and think about the role of wild food in our food system.

Foraging Fortnight 2023 is funded by NatureScot with support from Scotland’s Rural College, building on a project initially funded by LEADER IN 2019/20.

Foraging Fortnight encourages you to enjoy Scotland’s rural landscape through responsible foraging and adherence to the Scottish Outdoor Access Code. www.outdooraccess-scotland.scot
